Measure, understand and plan spinal alignment.

SpineDraft is a desktop app that helps spine surgeons measure spinopelvic and spinal parameters on radiographs and simulate corrections. An alternative tool to support your understanding and planning.

SpineDraft open on a laptop, showing radiographs with spinal alignment measurements beside a stylised spine

WHAT IT DOES

The essential measurements and planning tools, in one sober workspace.

You place the landmarks; SpineDraft calculates the parameters and shows how a planned correction changes them.

Open your radiographs

DICOM and JPEG files from your PACS or a photo of a film. Calibration from the DICOM data or a reference line you draw.

Sagittal alignment

Spinopelvic parameters (PI, PT, SS), lumbar lordosis, global alignment and cervical measurements.

Coronal and scoliosis

Cobb angles, coronal balance and the Lenke classification for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.

Correction planning

Simulate osteotomies (Schwab grades) and interbody cages, and switch between the before and after views.

Results you can review

All measurements of a patient in one list, grouped by view and region, ready to copy into your notes or export as images.

An encrypted local library

Patients, X-rays and plans are kept encrypted on your computer, protected by your password and a recovery code.

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, with you in control of each one.

  1. 01

    Open and calibrate

Open a lateral or AP radiograph. SpineDraft reads the calibration from the file when it can, and asks you when it cannot.

  2. 02

    Place the landmarks

Choose a measurement and follow the step-by-step guide. Values update while you adjust each point.

  3. 03

    Plan and review

Simulate a correction, compare the before and after views, and review all the results of the patient in one place.

HOW IT IS BUILT

Transparent by design.

SpineDraft is developed by a team of practising spine surgeons, with the measurement rules written down before any code.

It tells you when it is unsure

If a landmark is missing, the image is not calibrated or the orientation is unclear, SpineDraft says so in plain words instead of showing a number.

Your points, recalculated

SpineDraft keeps the points you placed, not the results, and recalculates every value each time you change one.

Your work is kept

Plans save automatically, with undo and redo, and destructive actions always ask first.

Patient data never leaves your computer through SpineDraft.

We do not collect, receive or store patient images, names, IDs or plans. They stay in the encrypted library on your computer, and only you decide when to save a copy elsewhere. The app connects to the internet only for your subscription, and that connection never carries patient data.
